Testimonies

We joined the perfecting meeting of the church in Tainan, where Message 3 from the recent ICSC was covered. The saints here are being perfected in the aspects of truth, life, and function. Following this, we had fellowship with the responsible brothers and serving ones. A brother shared that we must not tell the saints what to do, but instead encourage them to blend: in heart, through thorough fellowship; in spirit, through prayer; in the Word, to have the same vision; in burden; and in movement. After lunch, we toured the meeting place, which was thoughtfully designed with the view of the church as a house and a garden.

We began the morning in Miaoli with breakfast together with the local saints who were hosting us. The fellowship was very precious. One dear elderly sister, in her 80s, and her husband opened their home to us. It felt like a real treasure to stay with a couple who came into the recovery in the 1950s and participated in those early gospel marches. The brother had also served as a translator for Brother Lee in Japan. He had been a doctor, serving the local community when the area was still largely farmland. Today, their home and former clinic have been opened for the church and now serve as a meeting hall.

In Taichung we joined the perfecting meeting, with fellowship regarding the practice of the small groups and some very encouraging testimonies from local saints. Saints testified that they are full of joy now in their labour together. The brothers drove us to Tainan, to the meeting hall next to the university campus. Here we had dinner with the local brothers and got to meet the students who live in the meeting hall, who were having a gospel dinner where they can invite their gospel friends. The brothers gave the brothers from the UK an opportunity to share about the church life in their localities. We concluded with strong prayer.
